Every piece I paint on had a life before it came to me, and that’s part of the story. The texture of paint applied with a palette knife echoes the peeling prior layers of paint on weathered windowframes and hinges. I coat the wood of the frame with acrylic polyurethane to retain its character.
Please note that preexisting layers of paint on the wood of the window frame may be lead-based.
Windows are ready to hang in your home with hooks on the back, or can be displayed on a tabletop or shelf leaning against a wall.
